Hello and welcome everyone! My name is Luke and I am the creator of The American System Blog! Just for a bit of background information, I am 24 years old and was born in raised in North Carolina! My interest in history – specifically American history – came while I was in high school. I found a true love in learning about the great figures, ideas, and events throughout our nearly 250 years of existence as a country. I excelled in all of my history classes and found myself attempting to spread my knowledge and passion of history to anyone that would listen (so basically my mom). In my spare time I love reading biographies and watching history videos/documentaries on YouTube. Recently, I decided that I wanted to try and make an attempt to turn my passion into something even more by starting this blog. I wanted a place where I could freely talk about the many interesting stories and individuals in American history – and regardless of if nobody reads this blog or thousands do, I know that I will love every second of it. Ultimately I do hope to have the opportunity to help educate and interest others but I also look forward to meeting more people interested in American history and learning from them as well!
